Halff Honored With Esri Special Achievement in GIS Award

RICHARDSON, Texas — Halff, an award-winning, employee-owned, diverse and full-service infrastructure consulting firm, received a Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award at the Esri User conference earlier this year.

Esri (Environmental Systems Research Institute) is a global leader in geographic information systems (GIS) software, spatial analytics and mapping technology. The SAG award is presented to organizations and individuals who have made exceptional contributions to GIS. The award recognizes innovative applications of Esri’s technology to solve real-world challenges and demonstrate leadership in the GIS community.

Halff used a configurable analytics tool to generate flooding inundation data for the seven-county area of the Tampa Bay Regional Resiliency Coalition. The resulting data was needed to identify risks for the Florida state resiliency plan, Resilient Florida, but it also provided the flooding extent data and corresponding tools to local governments in the region.

The Esri SAG Award is given annually to 200 members out of 100,000 globally, along with other achievements in Esri’s Innovation Program.
